Global Sound Culture is Digit Music’s annual schools programme designed to bring creativity and culture to your curriculum and teaching practice.
This year we’ve partnered with Supersonic Africa Studios in Nairobi to bring the sounds of East Africa to your classroom. Learning packs contain:
- Video interviews with Kenyan musicians
- Professional sound samples of traditional instruments
- ‘ready to go’ classroom exercises in DAW’s and using Apps
- Supports KS2-5 Music, ICT, Geography and the New National Plan for Music Education.

Music tech CPD consultations and training for Schools & Hubs.
We specialise in training for teachers, music practitioners, Hubs and community music settings. Whether you are looking to make the most of the equipment you already have, improve inclusion in your setting or explore and train on new equipment or software, our team are happy to create a bespoke session for you and your staff.
We’ve run CPD for numerous Music Education Hubs including the East London Music Alliance, Nottingham Music Hub, Leicester Music Hub and Derby & Derbyshire Music Partnership for whom we are delivery partners.
“During the training staff had an opportunity to produce their own music which was a fantastic part of the session” – Music Teacher
“Both trainers were engaging and passionate about their work. We were given time to explore the equipment and discussed how this could be used within our school setting making it a very productive and meaningful session.” – Class TeacherGet in touch today
Electronic Ensemble Workshops
Using our joystick controlled Cmpsr instruments and gamified Arrownotation our workshops enable students to unleash their musical potential, connect to their interests and play and compose together. Workshops can be a great way to explore music tech, group composition or as enrichment projects. Our team of professional musicians and tutors are experienced at engaging students of all abilities and disabilities.
Explore a digital world of sounds:
- Electronic Ensemble
- Afro Fusion Ensemble
- Classical Ensemble
Choose from one of the options above or speak to us if you have a specific piece of music or genre you would like to explore.
Workshops can be tailored to Upper KS2- FE and are suitable for SEND and PRU settings. We provide 5 controllers so prefer to work with smaller groups or rotating larger groups.
Careers Workshops & Talks
Learn about music industry jobs from Digit’s professional musicians. We can combine careers talks with our Electronic Ensemble workshop on request or run bespoke careers workshops and talks. We are disability confident employers and promote disabled artists within the industry in our talks. Schools will receive a resource pack and a suite of videos to support further work.
The staff were really excited to see our students so engaged, inspired and confident in what they were doing.- Deputy headteacher
